Common
Questions
Q. Does Norm’s sell to the general
public?
A. Norm’s Bargain Barn is open to
anyone who is looking for a deal.
Q. Are the Clydesdales always at Norm’s?
A. Norm’s pet Clydesdales are only
allowed to visit the Bargain Barn a limited number of days
a year so always check the schedule before bringing the kids.
Q. Can I get material delivered?
A. Although Norm’s is primarily Cash
and Carry, delivery of material can be arranged with an extra
charge.
Q. What information do I need to bring with
me?
A Make sure you have all your measurements
with you when you come in. If you are going to buy a door
you will need the width and height of existing door, the handing
(which way the door swings) and the wall thickness. With replacement
windows you need the sash opening, with vanities be sure to
get the width and depth of the top plus the faucet on center
measurement if you plan on reusing your existing faucet. Call
ahead and talk to a salesman for more info.
Q. How do I know what hand my door is?
A. Go to the side of the door where the
hinges are visible when the door is in the closed position.
If the door knob is on the right side, the door is a right
hand door. If the knob is on the left side, the door is a
left hand unit. This method works for all interior and exterior
doors but does not apply to storm doors.
Q. How do I know the handing of a storm
door?
A. Storm doors are referred to as hinged
instead of handed. If you are on the outside of the house
and the storm door hinges are on the left side of the door
it is considered to be a left hinged door. In order to have
your storm door and the entry door it protects both have their
knobs on the same side, you must order a left hinged storm
door for a left hand entry door.
Q. Is everything in the Bargain Barn a second
or closeout item?
A. No. Although Norm has a lot of one-of-a-kind
items, he also has several lines of stock windows, doors and
cabinets.
